Navisworks - Freedom, Simulate, Manage

Is there a way to either change the name or make a comment to the appended nwc, nwd, and or nwf appended files withing the selection tree in Freedom or Simulate?

You cannot rename a file that is listed in the Selection Tree while in Navisworks. Nor is there a way to add a Quick Properties tag to that item in the Selection Tree. Please submit product feedback on this feature and maybe Autodesk would add it. It is worthwhile. https://www.autodesk.com/company/contact-us/product-feedback

If you are working with a .NWF file, you have some options. USE CAUTION. You could rename .NWC, then refresh or re-open the .NWF. Navisworks will find the original link gone and ask you to ignore or point to the file.

There are methods for the .NWD as well if you do not have access to all the original links that are in the .NWD.
