Navisworks crashes when attempting Check In to Vault

Our office recently implemented Vault for basic AutoCAD and AutoCAD Plant 3D. We have separate Vaults for each, with different settings, rules, categories, and permissions in place to handle the differences between the usage of the two programs. We are having an issue with our Plant 3D Vault not allowing us to check in a Navisworks NWF file of the Plant 3D model files.

I will launch Navisworks, Log In to Vault and Append my Plant 3D model files from Vault (using the Vault tab/add-in in Navis), then save the NWF file to a sub-folder within the Plant 3D project (within the Plant Vault working folder on my C: Drive, under the Related Files folder). This is how I create the new NWF file of our Plant 3D project. At that point I now have the option to Check In the Navis file (via the Vault tab in Navis). When I click Check In the Navis model will crash. I’m wondering if there’s an “ownership” conflict of some kind between Plant 3D and Navisworks, over the DWG model files? Are there any known issues along these lines?

If I start that whole process over again, and only append one of the Plant 3D model files, depending on which file I append, sometimes it will let me check in the NWF. So I know if can work. Certain files will allow it to check in, and others will make the check in process crash Navis. I can’t figure out why?

It doesn’t seem to matter if the Plant model files are checked out or not. Maybe there’s an issue within some of our Plant model files, although not sure what? They all append into Navis just fine. No content missing or errors as far as I can tell. Saving the NWF locally works. Saving that same NWF to an NWD will also work, and I can also check that NWD into Vault. So it’s just the NWF that is giving me trouble.

Vault Pro 2019, Plant 3D 2019, Navisworks Manage 2019.

Thanks!
