Navisworks AutoCAD Layers

Hi hopefully someone can help me with a couple of problems with AutoCAD layers.

First in the tree it groups the xref files by Layer. I would like it to group them by xref and then the various layers inside that model under it. this is what I get

the second issue is that the layers in the properties are the same. If I try and use the appearance profiler to turn all beams to a different colour I cant use layer as they are all different i cant just use the layer of S_Beams.

Any help would be much appreciated

Cheers

You might want to reach out to Rob.gadbaw@iconstruct.com at iConstruct. If you are not familar with iConstruct, it is an addon to Navisworks that adds a lot of functionality. I believe that iConstruct can solve your problem.

You might try to un-check the Convert XRefs in the file Readers DWG Options and then Append XRef files separetly.

Thanks guys,

I know it's two different packages but when I bring in a .dgn file with references, it displays how I would like to see it

@a_meteniI run a batch script to auto run the navis so doing them manually is not really an option as we can have 1000's of files

If I untick the Merge Xref Layers I get close but the selection tree becomes quite messy
