Navisworks 2021 high CPU usage

Hi,

When using Navisworks 2021 it idles at 40-50% CPU usage with nothing opened. I have been using Navisworks for the last 6 years and have never seen this in any other version. I have both 2021 & 2019 open at the moment (with no modells loaded) and 21 takes up 47% and 19 0.7%.

What could be the problem? How to solve it?

i read your post when you first put it up, but it just hit me what the issue could be. your opening Navisworks 2021, what format are the files you are opening in? If you are opening Older format files it will take a long time and could max out your processing as it is trying to "upgrade" the files.

I had this issue a few weeks back with opening a 2017 formatted file in 2020. It had 5 files appended to it and took almost 3hr to open. When i opened the same file in 2017 and it only took 5min.
