Navisworks 2017 with civil 3d object enabler isn´t showing civil 3d properties

Hi,

I can´t see Civil 3D object properties in Navisworks 2017, I have object enablers for civil 3d 2017 installed.

Navisworks treats Civil 3D objects as proxy graphics instead of civil 3d objects.

Does anyone have the same problem?

Hi,

Thank you for taking your time to post this on the forum,

And what if you select the Layer instead of the surface is it the same thing?

So instead of selecting the surface pick the whole thing,

Hi Magnus,

I've had a look at your files and I can confirm that this is currently an issue users are experiencing,

At the moment we are investigating the cause and will let you know as soon as there's news.

Workaround at the moment would be to use a release previous to Navisworks 2017.

If you have any additional questions let me know,

Best Regards,

Hi.
I'm one one of Magnus's collegues and we want to be able to use C3D-objects from C3D-2017 and then we can't use a previous version of Navisworks. One solution is to export to solids butik then we lose all information of the objects so that's not a good one.

Hi ,

I am facing the same problem and I have been looking for a solution since last month.

I have a Civil 3d objects that was saved or created in 2016 version and exported it using NWCOUT plug-ins and open it in Navisworks Civil 3D properties is showing just fine. But when I open the same file in Civil 3D 2017 version and export it again to NWC and open it in Navisworks the Civil 3d properties are missing considering checking all possible options in NWOPT.

Is there a solution to this now?

Hi!

Sorry, haven't heard anyting from Autodesk but a collegue of mine found out that it works with Navisworks 2018 and Autocad C3D 2017.

If you have the opportunity, try it out.

Regards,

Patrick

I found that opening the model in Civil 3d 2018 (not saving to 2018 though) and exporting to NWC (need to install Navisworks Manage 2018 or install Exporter tool) brings back the Civil 3d properties in Navisworks 2016/2017/2018.

Hi,

Similar problem with me aswell in my work station in office. But laptop in home is working fine . NWC cammand in laptop does not carry over the information  completely for example manhole  invert and cover level  which usually show up in CIVIL3D tab in navisworks property window. How ever when appendded civil 3D model directly does seem to work. I have C3D 2017 and 2018 both installed in my Laptop. Object enabelar for 2017 does not work properly .when i installed C3D 2018 and istalled object enabeler for 2018 . 2017 version files started showing up data in naviswork 2017 when appended or exported directly from Civil 3D using NWC out.

object enabeler in 2017 is not working properly. Try to install object enabelr for 2018 and 2016

Hello!

We installed Naviswork Manage 2018 and the object enabler for C3D 2018 and now we can append a  pipe network from C3D 2107 🙂

Should work fine with Simulate to.

Thanks to Darius Simkunas for good work!!

Regards,

Patrick

I ran into this problem and did the following. I can't guarantee it will work, but it worked for me.

1) Install the C3D Object Enabler

2) R-Click on the C3D file that's not rendering correctly

3) Delete the file from the .nwf file

4) Click Append

5) Navigate the the source C3D file.

6) Find the .nwc file that was generated previously

7) Right click and delete the NWC file

8) Re-append the C3D file.

This seemed to resolve the issue for me. Hope this helps some of you fighting with this problem.

I tried with following link but not able to download.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/downloads/caas/downloads/content/autocad-civil-3d-201...

Thanks,
