IFC MaterialLayerSet missing

Hello all,

I am importing an ifc file to Navisworks Manage 2019.

This file contains walls which are defined as an IfcWallStandardCase.

Further - if I check the file in an ifc viewer - to all walls is an ifc MaterialLayerSet assigned.

My problem is that I am not able to find/see the MaterialLayerSet in Navisworks.

Any help is highly appreciated!

What is the source if the IFC? It may be that you need to RE-export the IFC, perhaps using different settings.

Hello Martin,

thank you for the response.

Unfortunately I do not have the possibility to change the export settings for the IfcMaterialLayerSet.

Further it looks to me that the export is done correct and according to the ifc definition by "buildingsmart":

I checked the model in the "FZK-Viewer" and the "Solibri Model Viewer". Both are reading and displaying the information correct. So why not Navisworks? Is it reading/using the information anyway?

What I also tried:

• Navisworks > Application Menu (N) > Options > File Readers > IFC > Revit IFC activated > no success...
• Navisworks >Application Menu (N) > Options > File Readers > IFC > Revit IFC deactivated > no success...
• Navisworks > Application Menu (N) > Options > Interface > Display > Developer > activate both Show Internal Properties und Show Property Internal Names > no success...
• Installed the "Properties+" AddIn > no success...

Again thank you for the response - but any other ideas?
