How to set up revit model easy for takeoff materials finishing in Naviswork ?

Hi everyone !

As the article said, I want to take off the tile, stone, motal, epoxy ...... ( all the finishing materials)

But I quitely confused which is the best and exactly method to take off in Naviswork.

For example, the floor, which has 3 layers ------- tile/ motal/concrete.

In revit:

• 1st - I create a floor , which has 3 layers, then I create part ------> Naviswork didn't understand the floor has 3 layers

• 2nd - I create exactly 2 types of architectural floor ( tile, motal  ), and 1 structure floor ( concrete) ----> That will be too much time to do that

So what should I do to have tile quantity ?

You need to select/check the "Convert construction parts" in Navisworks Option Editor", with this you will have seperate elements as defined in Revit.
