How to include xData of an AutoCAD entity in the exported NWC file?

Hi,

I'm creating a .net application that stores some data in Autocad entities in the form of extended data (xData). However, when I export these entities using NWCOUT command I loose the xData of entities as I can't see it on Navisworks. Is there a way to have them included in the exported NWC? or is there any different way to add data to Acad entities that will be included by default in the exported NWC?

Thanks,

A. Taha

HI A-Taha,
I don't believe the NWC export functionality does this in AutoCAD sadly.

A workaround could be to use the Data Tools functionality and show the data in Navisworks.

Next step could be to embed the data in a NWD and share this.

THis way the NWD has the database information inside.
