Hi,
Got some questions on Navisworks. I would highly appreciate if you can answer them
Firstly, how can I get a google image as the bottom layer of my model. I tried to get it by attaching a raster image in autocad and then appending it to Navisworks. But if I use this method I can't rescale my map in Navisworks and can't make it fit where I want it exactly. Can anyone inform me how can I get the map exactly below the model and how can I rescale it to fit it appropriately.
Also how can I get a sky or a blue sphere on top of model.
Thank you,
Regards,

Hi Sawan

You may be better to add this texture later on in Navisworks.
Regarding a sky, you need to go to the Presenter dialog > Effects tab > Recommended > Backgrounds.
If you look in the Help Guides there's more information about Environmental Backgrounds which rotate as you move.
You can also replace one of the delivered images with the saved Google or Maps.Live.com image. Just make a copy of it before replacing it. I use this for dropping new refinery models onto the empty site. You will have to manipulate the Edit Current Viewpoint / Vertical and Horizontal Field of View to get it to match that of the image. I found this to be the easiest and fastest way.
