Highlight set pipes

Hi all! Tell me please, how can I highlight the first list of pipes in green, and the second red? In navisworks manage (3d model format - *.nwd)

Hi,

there are 3 possibilities to select the pipes.

1) Select them manually. you want to save exactly this selection: this is called a "selection set"

you can create it manually by pointing in the 3D model and/or in the Selection Tree based on some properties there.

After selection you can override the color of the selected items.

2) based on a Query. You can query using a "search set". If the model changes (when using an NWF) re-applying the query will select the modified objects.

3) Using the "appearence profiler", you can make a whole bunch of selections + the color override they need.

Is it possible to use the API to get a list of pipes from an *.xml file, and then highlight it with the help of "appearence profiler"?

I have no API experience, but you might be able to get the properties that you need to determine the apprearance into Navisworks without API.

like with a Database Link.

In which tool are the Pipes modelled ?

Hi @Anonymous,

as soon as Navisworks can read the properties of the model, you would be able to select these properties in the search set.

Done that, you can name the search set and then give a color to each selection.
