Find Items and DWFs

In the Category drop down of the Find Items, I need to drill down to Element. Is there a limit to the number of Category items in the drop down? I am not able to scroll beyond the HUGE list of DWF references in the drop down?

Is the solution to delete the appended file containing the DWF references and then re-append?

I'm trying to use the Find Items to create search sets for building an appearance profiler dat.

I am not aware of a limit of elements that can be displayed. I have had some very long lists myself.

When you say you are not able to scroll beyond the huge list. Do you mean the list is not showing everything or that the slider will not let you scroll down to see everything?

If you are missing items in the list, scroll to the end and click on the three dots (indicates more), this will reload the list. If your scroll bar is not working, probably a display issue.

A quick tip. If you are in the category menu and you are looking for "Element", hit the letter "E" on keyboard, it will take you to the first item that starts with "E".

What authoring package are you using to create your .DWF?

I am not able to see everything because the list is so long (huge amount of DWF references) that the scroll bar stops scrolling. I have clicked the ... at the end of the list, but still not scrolling past DWF references. Typing 'E' doesn't not work either.

I don't use DWF files, but I will create one and see if I have the same results. Have you tried bringing in your civil 3d file directly?
