Export object data/properties from Revit file

Hello all,

I am using Revit to model Electrical trays/lighting/equipment for our project. and  using Navisworks manage to merge other services like Duct/arch/civil.

We used to extract 3D AutoCad from Revit 3D for merging into Navis manage.

The problem is if we Append Direct Revit file in to mange then, the the color properties (which we have assigned and fixed in Revit filter) will not appear in mange but we can clearly see object properties with proper data in properties tab. (Refer : Below Snap-1).

If we extract AutoCad file from Revit and then we append in Navis manage we can maintain colors, which set by Revit filter but we are unable to see object properties. only some basic properties visible as per below snap.

Is there any way we can manage to get both (Color set by filter and properties of the object) in Navis manage?

any help on this much appreciated .

Regards,

FKP

Have you had any luck with this issue? We are experiencing the same thing...

Did you try exporting to NWD, NWC directly from Revit?  (instead of Autocad?)

  1. Open your Revit model and go to the "Add-ins" tab.
  2. Select "External Tools" and then choose "Export to Navisworks."
  3. In the export settings, choose the options for the level of detail and other settings you want for the export.
  4. Select the location where you want to save the NWC file and click "Export."

Should stay in a more manageable format.
