Hi all,
Has anyone tried to connect data tools to sql server on Azure.
I have previously had no problem using the Setup wizard to connect data tools to a SQL Server database on a VPN.
The data tools worked perfectly, and created a new tab as well as a few properties which updated each time I selected a new entity in Navis.
I use Navisworks Manage 2016.
I have tried using the Setup wizard, and added my server "******.database.windows.net" string in the server text box, and added my credentials, but when I attempt to select the database, a "Cannot open server..." message always appears.
I have also tried adding a full connection string in the "DRIVER=SQL Server; Server =****" area, but also had no success.
I use the same connection string as I use in my C# applications and SQL Management Studio.
Been trying to connect for days, and it doesn't seem possible.
I have done extensive internet searches, but nothing of interest was found.
I seem to be the only person having this problem, which is strange.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards.
