Clash Detection Window not working properly

So I am using my Navisworks Manage 2017 to perform the regular clash detection, and the problem happened today when I was not able to see the clash detection functions and commands properlyNVM2016.JPG

These buttons belong to the test drawer, now the problem with the drawer happens when I expand it, I cannot see it's bottom, and i cannot even scroll down through it to see the lower commands(group, comment, display) I cannot.

out of curiosity, I tried deleting all tests and recreating them, but as soon as there is a single test, then the highlighted clash detection commands just disappear.

Now this issue happens only in 2017 and not 2016, But I prefer to use the latest version, as ADSK suggested that there are some minor performance enhancements.

so how can I get back my Clash detection panel?

Hi, Amer.Mohammad,

Welcome to the Navisworks forum! I'm Judy from Technical Support and I'll be happy to help you out with the problem of the buttons not working right in Navisworks.

Does this happen only with one project, or on any project that you open in this version of Navisworks? If it's only this particular project, that might indicate a problem with the models you're opening. If this is the case, please let me know whether you are using Revit models, dwgs, IFCs, etc.

If the problem happens regardless of which model you open, there are a couple of things you can try to see if they will resolve the problem:

1. First, try repairing Navisworks from the Control panel. (Select N! from the list of installed programs, click Uninstall/Change at the top of dialog box, and choose Repair).

2. If repairing the software doesn't work, it might help to uninstall and reinstall it.

Please let me know if this helps or if you need more help. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Best,

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply.

this problem only persists when I use my current large project on my workstation, if I created a new project file then NWM works just fine, but I can't just create another file because all of my clash history is on that buggy file, and clash results cannot be ported from a file to another.

using my personal laptop I was able to use the file properly and run all clashes again and again with different file NWC iterations.

I think the problem might be in the software I have and it needs to be reinstalled to work properly. will try contacting IT about it.

Thanks!
