Changing Orientation of X and Y Axes

Hello

Does anyone know how to change the orientation of the X and Y axis within Navisworks?

I want to rotate these axes so that, when moving an element, the Gizmo axes are aligned with the orientation of the building. I have attached some screenshots for your reference.

From reading other forum posts, it is my understanding that the X & Y axes are from your first model you append, however after lots of trial and error I can't seem to change the X and Y from the North and East global axis orientation. I am also trying to avoid rotating all appended models so that they are in the correct orientation relative to True North.

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks

Jack

Create a new NWF

append the first model

If X - Y is not the way you want

select the model in the Selection Tree

-> Right mouse menu -> File Units and transform

rotate 90 (or 270)

around 0 / 0 / 1 (which is the Z-axis)

Then this should be OK

Then append all other models
