Best practice when federating and appending ACC models into Navisworks

Hi,

I'm wanting to know what is the best method to append linked models from Autodesk Construction Cloud. My employer has shown me to methods: Method #1: Opening the .nwf file from Autodesk Docs then refreshing the links from coordination folder. Method #2: Using coordination Plugin and appending the models from a coordination folder from ACC.

What are the pros and cons from these two approaches?

In Method #1: you’re using Navisworks desktop app to Open/Append NWF/NWC files that are stored on ACC Docs via Desktop connector. (Only NW subscription required)

In Method #2: you’ll use the Model Coordination module and publish the models toBIM Collaborate pro (pretty much Naviswors but on the cloud and will require additional subscription)
