Appending Revit File into Navisworks, Level Issue

Hello Everyone,

My issue is simple and had never happened before. I have 5 different links. When I export the NWC from Revit and create each separate .NWC model for each respective Revit link and append each of them into one single file for coordination everything runs just fine.

However, when I append the Revit file itself and do it with the other links, only 2 of the 5 levels of the building are coming up and I really have no idea why it started happening.

In other words, why Navisworks is not reading the remaining 3 levels when the file is being appended directly from the Revit models for simultaneous coordination?

Thanks for now,

Just a thought, Are the NWC export settings in Revit matching with RVT file readers options in Navisworks?

Yes. All Revit links are using feet & inches, but when I append them into one NWC file, Navisworks is not reading the levels above level 2 (3, 4 and 5 are missing).

Actually i meant the whole export settings in Revit and Navisworks. not only the units.

That's the issue - I'm not exporting it, I'm appending the Revit file into Navisworks without making a NWC. That's what's puzzling me, because it should have all the 6 levels of the building but it is only showing 2.

When I export the NWC file, on the other hand, each link is exported at full, including all the 6 levels. When all links are merged into one file, however, they once again are limited to level 2.

In other words, separately, they work. But when merged all together, they don't.

Hi,

I think that the issue was pretty much close to what you said - on Navisworks I picked the "entire project" under the Revit tab you pointed out and it is now showing all the levels for the MEP links 🙂

Thanks a lot!!
