I frequently use the ViewCube to quickly orient my view based on selected objects in the model. I also generally have my Near Clipping Plane set to a fixed value (whatever distance best suits the model+) to improve navigation and view clarity when navigating a Navisworks model. However, this usually results in the selected object being hidden / clipped after using the ViewCube to zoom / orient to it, and I need to zoom out a bit to see it again.
There doesn't appear to be any OOTB option in the ViewCube settings to adjust the zoom distance relative to a selected object, only Fit-to-view on change. But this zooms right in to the object and hides / clips it when using a fixed Near Clipping Plane. Is it possible to adjust the zoom distance relative to selected objects when using the ViewCube? Perhaps something in a config file somewhere where you can set it to zoom to a fixed distance from a selected object rather than zooming to fit it to the screen?
