3D objects disappearing when saving nwc in nwd format

Hello good afternoon!

I generated an nwc file from plant 3D and with it I can view all the models in Navisworks, but when using "Append" and combining this nwc with others, some of the 3D models simply disappear.

Could anyone help me?

Why not append the native P3D .dwg file?

The same error occurred with nwc, dwg and nwd.

Does it work ok if you append in a .nwf file?

I found a workaround by exporting as FBX, but it is not the usual path that should bring the solution.

Thanks for your support.

Hiya,

Thanks for your post about this issue. We've looked at it and I think it is because you have enabled "Reduced Precision Coordinates" in the "Model / NWD" section of your global options (this option is disabled by default). Our geometry compression algorithm was incorrectly processing some of the objects in the scene, meaning when the geometry was compressed, all the points ended up at the same place, and so you couldn't see anything upon reloading.

Until we can get a fix available, you can easily workaround this by just disabled the Reduced Precision Coordinates setting, or increase the Precision value.

Hope this helps,
