Navisworks Viewer Properties?

Dear NW API Developers:

Is the relationship between the Navisworks Object model and the structure of the Viewpoints XML file documented?

I am trying to create a plug-in that will write only selected ‘branches’ of the SavedViewpoints ‘tree’ to an XML file.

Some properties are written to the XML file (such as “terminal_velocity”) which I cannot find in the VS Object Browser.

Thank you for any help that you can provide!

Hi Brian,

I did not find an API that corresponds to this property. There are some properties named with 'speed' in a viewpoint object, but after some testing, it looks none of them are related with terminal_velocity.

I will double check.

Hi Brian,

our engineer told me:

The "terminal_velocity" is just an internal value that you cannot edit in the UI or via the API. It looks like it is hard-coded at 50m/s. If the customer wants to write their own viewpoint XML, then they should set it to something similar (taking into account current world units).
