Navisworks GUI function "Same Entity Handle" internals, is it equivalent to a search for equal Item.GUID?

Basically curious to know if "Select/Same Entity Handle" is doing a search of is doing something smarter since it seems to run really fast and I need similar function in our plugin to find insulation matching specific pipe(s).

That just does a search for AutoCAD Entity Handle I think.
