Embedded links with ActiveX

Is it possible to display or reference document links embedded on objects in the ActiveX control?

Hi,

Are you referring to the attributes of the objects? If yes, built-in COM control supports to access the attribute. Before 2012, the control is called dynamic control. From 2012, it is called Integrated control.

<Navisworks Installation path>\api\COM\examples\AUTO_06 is a sample. Although it is an Automation application, you could also use it with control.

I apologize, I meant to say with the redistributable API, not the integrated.

Sorry, redistributable control has limited abilities. You cannot access attribute with it.

I discovered that if you set State.URLsEnabled = true you can display embedded links with the redistributable ActiveX control.

sorry, I thought you need to access the attribute attached to the object and mixed with your another question. Yes, as you have seen, displaying URL is supported, Same to smart tag. if you encounter the error 'unlicensed api', that means this API does not supported.
