NW API - Getting Started

Looking at the resources, I'm quite lost as to the starting poing for plugin creation in Navisworks. Skilled at Navisworks is one thing but customization is new. I'd like to venture in and learn to create some basic things in Navisworks.

If I use the sample classes in Revit API instructions, will that teach me the basics to eventually swith over to navisworks api editing?

I'd suggest you take a look at our free material at

It introduces .NET API. As I know, currently there is only one material (webcast) on COM API, delivered by me, unfortunately in Chinese.  But you can always find the API reference and guideline in

<Navisworks Simulate/Manage>\api folder.

It covers .NET, COM and NWCreate.
