Starting to work on supporting NoGui in our plugin, the goal being to be able to automate some of our plugin actions, possibly via a script the plugin would load.

Question: do we need special attention in the source code, for example avoiding to create Progress?

We have been using -NoGui for many years on a large scale. I recommend to implement a good logging / alert system because you will not be able to detect errors if you can't see what is going on.

Of course you can't do anything that would open dialog boxes.

Wahoo, Great to hear it's worth going in this direction !

And yes clearly robust and explicit logging mechanism is a must, agreed.

No dialog was obvious, so I guess based on your answer that also means no  creation of Progress object.

I had a little hope these would just be doing nothing in -NoGui mode, avoiding having to write specific code for such case.

Thanks again.

Still on the -NoGui mode, is there some documentation/posts that would quickly explain what is available and not?
Example: is Idle event raised?
