Navisworks Clash Detective Issue - Unwanted multiple selection.

Autodesk Navisworks Manage 2016.  (Posted in both boards)

Hello,

I am currently using navisworks for clash detection. When I am in clash detective, and I select a single clash, for some reason it also selects several clashes above it, and I have to click the single clash again for it to be the only one selected. The only solution I have found is to close navisworks and restart my computer.

I was unable to find any documentation for this issue.

Has anyone else had this issue?

If so, is there another solution to fix this issue on a permanent basis?

Thanks

Hi Phil,

Please make sure you have all the service packs installed. Some time ago, we did fix a multiple selection issue in clash detective so service packs should ensure that you pick up that fix.

I am surprised that you need to restart Navisworks, and even more surprised that you need to restart your computer. Just closing Clash Detective (or possibly just navigating back to the Selection tab within Clash) should be sufficient to clear the selection. If that isn't clearing the selection then maybe check that there isn't a multiple selection issue in other applications that might indicate a 'stuck' shift key or similar.

Hope that helps,

Susan

Hi,

I'm experiencing the same issue - have all the service packs installed.
