Announcing Nastran In-CAD 2017 Update 2

Hello,

I'm please to announce the launch of Autodesk Nastran In-CAD 2017 Update 2. Those customers with an active subscription for Nastran In-CAD will now see the new update in the Autodesk Desktop App. The Nastran In-CAD team has made a lot of effort to resolve a number of outstanding issues reported by our customers.

You can find a list of issues addressed in this update below:

  • An add-in can be removed from Add-in Manager without restarting the Inventor application.
  • Improved remote forces on shell elements.
  • If level of detail is renamed or deleted, the Model State in Analysis dialog will change to default “Master”.
  • nu31 is properly calculated using the input value for nu13.
  • Updated to Nastran 2017 R1.
  • Included new parameter ENHCCONTACTRSLT and updated FILEBUFFERSIZE to 100.
  • ENHCCONTACTRSLT when set to ON include proper contact elements development at contacting faces for parabolic tetra elements.
  • vonMises and Displacement plots are showing in report generation.
  • Improved XYPlot performance:
    • Proper values plotted for associated elements and lists correct node index when edge is selected.
    • Saved XYPlot values are getting sorted and show exact values.
  • SY, Yield stress value is synced with nonlinear material dialog.
  • Supported unit conversion on billboard of query display.

If you have any questions regarding how to access the new version or what issues have been addressed please do not hesitate to post here in the forums or contact technical support.

Best Regards,

Andrew
