Contactgenerate2 shell+tetra

Dear all,

I would like to merge the shell element with tetra element.

The component are welded.

Is correct to use contactgenerate 2 to permit to transfer also moment or I must use other option?

Hi Stefano,

The automatic edge contact generation should work.  Just make sure MAXAD is large enough to connect the edge to at least one node for the solid part on either side of the edge of the shell element.  This will ensure that moment forces are translated onto the solid part as a coupled force.
