In Photoshop, you can draw a straight line between two points, using shift. I wish i could the same in Mudbox.

Might not be what you are looking or, but you can draw straight lines in mudbox using curves.

Think of these likes paths in Photoshop.

Draw your curve, edit them if needed/smooth etc. 

Or use the Curve Loop tool to draw perfectly straight curves.

Next, either right click and Stroke on Curve (RMB + flick up). Make sure you have the brush you want to use selected first.

Or you can simply draw along the curve, if you have ''Snap to curve'' enabled in the sculpt tool properties.
