PLEASE HELP: Mudbox 2019 CMD+Z Not Working

Anonymous

Hi

I've got Mudbox 2019, running on a Mac running Mojave. CMD+z does not work, even though it's correctly listed under the hotkeys.

Removing the preferences makes no difference.

I can only undo by doing CTRL+Z followed by CMD+Z - I have to do this two stage sequence to undo one action.

The menu Undo works.

Please could someone from Autodesk give some assistance? I originally posted this problem in Nov, but no-one replied.

Also have noticed that pressing CTRL to invert a sculpt tool does nothing.

Mudbox 2019 is UNUSABLE!! Please could you let me know how I can revert to 2018?

Just downloaded Mudbox 2019.1 and CMD+Z still not working on Mac running Mojave.

Does anyone from Autodesk read these forums?

I've spoken to Autodesk in person at the time of the original posting, and they advised to use 2018, which I am still doing.

Just spoken to support again, so third time I've raised this issue with Autodesk. Maybe in another years time it will get fixed? 🙂

Im still paying for the product, so should at least be able to use the latest versions without being impeded by Undo not working....not too much to ask?

Are Mac users not really a priority for Autodesk?

Will anyone from Autodesk reply to this post?

CTRL-Z not working in Windows too. I'm sure Mudbox has been abandoned

Not sure if it's been abandoned, as they have just put out a new version. I don't think Autodesk really read these forums. Contacting support seems to be a good way to get your voice heard...

The beta stopped abruptly! no explanation, the last time this happened Mudbox went into development limbo for 5 years. I'm a mudbox user from day 1 with Sky matter and subscriber from day 1 in Autodesk. Just my experience that's all.

Wow that does not sound promising! I really like using Mudbox over ZBrush, as the Mudbox interface seems much more intuitive for me.

Would you recommend any other sculpting software?

I love Mudbox to death my friend! I paid subscription from 2012-2017 with no addition to the toolsets. 2017-2018 was a good year development restarted. Now stopped again. I'll continue to use my perpetual licence till windows no longer supports an outdated mudbox :).

Other software, I do use Zbrush, 3d coat and Blender.

I don't care if they don't develop it, if they can iron out the bugs and release patches if os demands. If they can't do that, they should release the code so it can be open source! it's too good a sculpting program to die. I really hate it when corporations buy phenomenal software and kill it.
