How to use Clone tool on multiple objects

Is there a way to use the Mudbox Clone tool from one object onto another.  Most everything I've seen only specifies how to clone one area to another on the same object.  I'm looking to clone a section of one .. then paint onto a section of the other.

If not .. .is there a work around?

You could try using export screen to Psd, and clone it in photoshop> then bring it back Re-import from PSD
