How to open a STL or Step file in Mudbox?

Hi!

First day, sorry if this is a dumb question. 

I've got an STL and STEP file for a form I want to edit in Mudbox but can't seem to figure out how to import it. Elp?

Hi there,

Mudbox cannot import those files directly - you'd need to translate it to an OBJ or FBX object. If you have Maya, you can bring it in there and then do Send to Mudbox. You could also see if the program the file was created in can export it as OBJ or FBX.
