I'm a student facing a deadline (1 week till submission) and I'm hitting a major issue.
When trying to open my work file (model with 28 million poly/tri count) Mudbox keeps locking up.
To add to the confusion Mudbox also eats through my system ram like Pavarotti at an all you can eat buffet.
I'm running a Ryzen 7 1800x on a Crosshair VII Hero board with 16gb DDR 4 3200 mhz (updated to 24gb which mudbox still chews through without remorse) with an Nvidia 960 GTX (4gb) on Windows 10 OS.
I know my GPU may not be the best for this but I'm finding it worrying that no matter my ram load out (either 16gb or 24gb) Mudbox quickly eats up 95%.
I've been battling this for weeks to get my work finished for submission and now this new roadblock has hit me stopping me in my tracks. I'm wondering if there is some kind if memory leak in 2018.2 or if my system is basically no fit for purpose. I'm running out of time and it's causing serious stress issues.
