holding down ctrl for multiple selections

Hi,

So i have an arraw of buttons in my UI and I want to grow my selection whilst holding down the ctrl key.

I've tried to detect the ctrl key with -

if FBInputModifier().kFBKeyCtrl:

    print 'ctrl'

but no workie, just tells me that its true all the time

any ideas?
