Time to reach ejection temp animation default doesn't work properly

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a solution to the default way that Time to reach ejection temp animates.  The plot properties shows that the animation is set to "show higher values". But the result animates to lower values.  The fix is to change the setting to "show lower values", click apply, then reset it back to "show higher values".

I've typically cut sections view to show the result, but I really like the visual of the result when it's working properly for "show higher values".  It's easier for others to comprehend.

I've tried to create an API to automate switching this, but it doesn't work.  That could be my scripting skills, or it could be this is not a field that is changeable in a script.

Any thoughts on a fix for this?

Thanks,

Tim VanAst

Hello Tim,

I have another problem with this result, but it may be linked to yours.

By defaut, its setting is "show lower values".

If I turn it to "show higher values", this option is immediately applied to some other results.

And the only way  to change that is to reopen the simulation and reset the option of this result to "show lower values".

Hope this helps.

Hi Tim,

I am using Moldflow 2025.

And I experience similar as @PascalGosset

Time to reach ejection temperature, and the Method properties behaves a bit strange.

What I found is that if I create a new result it seems to remember the setting in Animation.

If you open properties of default existing plot, review tab Animation and "Animation result over:"
If set to Show lower values, and changed to Show Higher values
then it will use that.

If you in next step use new plot for Time to reach ejection temperature
and you open properties of default existing plot, review Animation and Animation result over:
it is set to Show Higher values.

So seems as you always need to check what is set to be sure.
Seems not to use a default value, rather last used?
Not sure if this is the intention or a defect.

Kind of strange behavior as using the last setting used for the plot when creating a new, or?
Might even effect other results as @PascalGosset  mentions.

Further, The Synergy API many times have limitations in respect of changing data fields for plots.
If it is not there, when recording a macro, it is often not available to set.

I believe Autodesk Tech Support and R&D need to review this, explain why this behavior and make it consistent.

Thanks Pascal and Berndt!  I spoke with Hanno about this and he agreed that something is not right. He said he'd check with the development team.
