Process MIM

Hello,

I work with Moldflow Insight 2023 and I need a new simulation with new inejction process, MIM.

Is possible simulate with Moldflow this process? How?

Can you send me literature or examples?

MIM (and CIM) can be simulated with Moldflow (though admittedly, this is not nearly as mature and full featured as the thermoplastic injection molding simulation, which is a function of where the MIM industry is compared to thernoplastic inj. molding; (smaller scale and less standardisation --> harder to develop a material database).

But we do have the process under Powder Injection Molding in the 3D solver.
