Obtain Time at which Frozen layer fraction in part is 95% using macro

How to extract time at which the frozen layer fraction value is around 95% from either frozen layer plot or analysis log using a macro?

Hi @abelawadi

Are you talking about freezing time of the part @ 95% ..??? hope you aware of using the Time to reach ejection temperature plot to identify the gate & part freeze time. Its all about experience & to identify the % of part frozen from the results.

in below example picture i can say 80-85% of the part has been frozen by 20secs

Getting exact 95% part freeze time from common macro will be interesting. please do share us if you get some macros like that.

Hi Sabarinath,

You are correct that this info can be obtained fromt eh time to reach ejection temp pot or the temperature plot as well. I am trying to see if we can extract that ifo via a script from the analysis log.

Hi @abelawadi

Thank you for visiting the Moldflow Insight forums!  I have attached two scripts which might be of interest to you. They may not be exactly what you are looking for, but you might be able to take some ideas from these and personalize them.

Thank you, and I hope this is helpful!

Hi Beth,

Thank you for the reply. I think this is fairly close to what i am getting to and a little tweak of the code would work for me.

Thanks,

abelawadi
