Suppose you have generated a Dual Domain mesh and the aim is 3D.

When mesh type is 3D, triangle counts are not displayed on study tree:

To check the number of triangles, you do not have to change mesh type to DD.

Instead, you can use mesh statistics. Change settings as below:

Make sure element type is "Triangles", and turn on "Restrict to visible entities".

If you have multiple components and you want to check the triangle count for one body, just turn off triangles for other components, then only one body will be counted.

When "Restrict to visible entities" is on, it will not check defects or match ratios, so it is much faster.
