How to go from Moldflow Insight to CAM/Machining the mold

I am very very new to moldflow so please forgive me if this is a stupid question.

I am trying to process making very simple molds and I get there is a Mold Block Wizard for creating a mold around your runners, gates, and the void that is your part, but I havent come across any guides on how to bring that mold body with all its runners and such out of Moldflow and into Fusion for the purposes of CAM/machining the actual mold its self.

Additionally, and it may be tied to my stated issue, how do I get the check mark of "create as CAD block" to be available?

Hi @campbellqn ,

first, to be able to create as CAD mold block, you need at least analysis sequence to include Cool(FEM).

To create a mold block, make sure that the layers hosting your CAD part, inserts, cooling channel curves and runner system curves are all visible.
These components must all be visible for the mold to recognize them.
The wizard creates a mold around your CAD part, inserts, cooling channel curves and runner system curves.

You could then export the geometry.

(No need to run Cool(FEM) analysis as such.)

To export you could use:
Application button M > Export > Model
Different CAD-formats available.

Runners and cooling channels modeled in Moldflow are curve based, 1D element.
You will not be able to export those as separate 3D solids.
You could export curves in iges-format to be able to reuse center-line curves for modelling in CAD.
