Is there any effect of gravity on filling in moldflow insight?

Hi,

When molding thin walled parts, viscosity is usually low and flow of polymer is fast into the mold cavity.
Therefore, the effect of gravity on the molding process is not a significant factor in the molding process.

But gravity can be considered in a 3D tetra mesh.

Hope this helps.

For thicker parts you can see the effect visually.

Here you can see the gravity effect, Same part with the same gate location with opposite garvity direction
