Export Warp mesh/geometry - Moldflow 2024

As many of us know, Moldflow has the ability to export the warped shape of the part. You can select 4 options of file to output. ASCII STL, Binary STL, Model file or CAD file.

I have done this hundreds of times, and also twice today. (Export as CAD file) Now for some reason the export as CAD file button is greyed out and cannot be selected. Anyone see this before or have any ideas?

Did you start with a CAD file or do you still have a CAD file present in your .sdy file?  Moldflow needs an initial CAD body to create the modified warped shape if you want to use the CAD option.

I am also on 2024 and my warp export option is not greyed out.

I do have a cad file in the study. I always make sure the cad file is present if I need to export a warp file. I am diligent on this because when duplicating studies the CAD file almost always disappears for some reason. The cad file name remains in the layers pane but there is actually no cad file present. This happened with 2023 and also 2024. I reached out about this separate issue but never got any resolution.

On this CAD button  issue I was eventually able to get it to work after rebooting my system. Maybe just a glitch? Just never seen this before where just the CAD button was greyed out but all the other 3 buttons were operational. Even when there is no cad file present, the button will not grey out. You can click on it and then after a short period you get an error saying it could not create the warp output file because the cad file is not present or corrupt.

I just spoke with a member of our Moldflow support team.  They mentioned the same issue I stated initially, if the CAD body is not present or got deleted, the CAD option might be greyed out.  They mentioned they have seen this in 2023 but not 2024.  

If your issue still persists, I would suggest making a support case so we can get this in front of our Moldflow development team if needed.
