Hi All,

Is it possible to perform a CO2 spot cooling in addition to conventional water cooling in MPI?

Please see the link for more details.

Hi,

using liquid CO2 spot cooling in Moldflow is not an available feature for the moment.

When gas expands, the temperature is very low, maybe around -80C.

An idea could be to use a Mold Insert that are using RHCM (Rapid Heating and Cooling Mold)?

Use a high Glycol content to get low temperatures for a short while?

Not 100% correct, but maybe a way forward to get some results...

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Berndt
