Voids result by size of the void.

Voids result by size of the void.

Currently the air traps results show void formations with probability index scale. How does one correlate with probability index results.

In actual molding the production classifies voids based on the size. Hence request to provide results with void size classification.

I think  MF only shows air traps?!

 

If you look at MF Help you got this result for voids:"A defect in the plastic part due to the plastic pulling away from the middle of the part as the molten plastic cools. Voids are caused by material shrinkage during the cooling phase. A void is a cosmetic defect if the part is transparent and a structural defect if the void is large. Eliminate voids by using proper cavity pressurization in the packing phase"

 

A Void is a "bubble with no air in it, rather vacuum"

So, moldflow unfortunately can´t predict voids Smiley Frustrated
