Hello,
I am looking for a way to select an entity, primarily a node or curve, and then be able to automatically select every feature that is connected to that entity.
For reference, I have imported CAD for cooling lines, assigned the "Channel 3D" property to the CAD, and then created centerlines (Geometry -> Curves -> Centerlines).
Most of the molds I work with have complex cooling (multiple circuits, baffles, bubblers, etc...) and channels can be difficult to trace, even when assigning CAD to different layers before using the Centerlines command.
I would like a way to automatically select all the entities that are connect to the entity I manually select.
This helps with:
1. Selecting curves with different properties to move to new layers
2. Finding disconnects in circuits after using Centerline command
3. Isolating circuit(s) to move to new layers (avoid manually clicking everything).
4. Ensure curves are connected when manually creating new curves (hot runner and cooling lines)
For reference, I have tried these Selection options, but they do not achieve what I'm trying to do.
- Expand (only works for mesh entities)
- Select by property (selects more than what is needed)
This doesn't have to be just for nodes/curves but figured it would be a good starting point.
Here is an example picture of centerlines and a potential circuit I would like to select.
Thanks,
Kevin
