High deviation from calculated injection time versus set injection time

High deviation from calculated injection time versus set injection time

Dear Moldflow Team.

A problem that has long existed in Moldflow and leads again and again to longer project times!

When calculating large components or parts, including the hot runner system, the predefined injection time deviates very strongly from the calculated / achieved time.

Moldflow needs significantly longer to fill the part because of inertia effects / compression of the melt.

In order to reach the predetermined value of the injection time, several iterations are necessary.

This can be very time-intensive.

Suggestion:

Moldflow should independently check during the calculation whether the specified time can be reached and, if necessary, make independent corrections. Furthermore, a percentage of max. deviation can be very useful.

Thanks for the consideration and for solution.
