ERROR 1204110

Hello ,

 

When use moldflow adviser ,

 

I met "** ERROR 1204110 ** Multi-cavity is detected. Please run gate analysis for each individual cavity." problem,

 

I checked STL file , there is only one part .

 

Attachment is the stl file

 

Please help to advise how can solve this problem .

There is some surface errors noticed in the model

 

Refer the attached image, delete the unnecessary surface in the CAD and re-import it

I aggree with @mppkumar findings.


Just wanted to add some comments.

There is a void in CAD geometry.
This creates internal surfaces, within the part thickness, and tessellated as well when exporting to stl.
Those internal surfaces are then also meshed in Adviser.
Hence Adviser detects this mesh inside part as multi-cavity.

 

You need to fix this in CAD, as suggested.
A Boolean operation to remove void.
Or create a cut out in part.

Depends on wished design.
