Transform Function Parameters

Hello,

Is anyone aware of a way to set parameters for the transform function? To better explain this, I want to make a "dynamic" object that can be moved in multiple planes by using the transform tool, but I want it to stop at certain points on the different planes so it cannot be extended past said point (so essentially creating movement parameters).

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

You can automate the process with the mmAPI, but that is a bigger undertaking if you do not know how to code.

You can also drop pivots that can be 'snapped' to when using the transform tool: http://help.autodesk.com/view/MSHMXR/2019/ENU/?guid=GUID-EDB35D1E-13EB-4689-A83E-DD8C1D71CDC2

Thank you for your response! I tried that but I'm not able to get the object to snap onto my pivot for some reason. As there are multiple "snap to" options, which pivot drop point would you recommend I select?

Much appreciated and thanks again!

Oh you are right, I mixed up align with transform.

I don't think transform has that ability. Align is the closest, and it takes a bit of setup:
