Mesh to thick shell

First off I am n00b in mesh manipulations and in Meshmixer. I am just 3d printer hobbyist. I appreciate any help.
I had STL that I divided into more bodies so I can print them. However, I want to make them hollow so I can place electronics inside. And now I am stuck. What are the next steps?

This is one of the bodies that I want to make about 1-2 mm thick like a shell, then, want to make holes in it for the buttons and print it.

What are the next steps? any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

I'm always bad at understanding what someone wants. But this sound like it will involve offsets.

Probably something like:

  1. EDIT > GENERATE FACE GROUPS
  2. SELECT the faceS you want removed
  3. DELETE
  4. SELECT ALL > DEFORM > OFFSET (2MM)

Think the easiest way would be to do EDIT/Hollow first an do the cutting after that.
