Is it the same .mix project file you are working on?

Working with SHADERS there are two ways to apply them to a scene or a specific object:

  1. Dragging a SHADER material onto a specific object applies it to that very object
  2. Dragging a SHADER material onto empty space applies this material to all object which do not own a specific shader done via way 1.

MM remembers the second way - the shader for all objects without a specific shader - in meshmixer.ini

So if you accidentally dragged the XRay shader onto empty space: All new objects will appear transparent until you drag a different shader onto empty space.

A new installation does not refresh meshmixer.ini...
