Make Solid bridging problem

Hi see attachment screenshot.

After I make solid (settings = accurate, 1024 accuracy, 1024 mesh density)

meshmixer joined the arm to his chest and to his other arm, why does that happen?

I assume mm thinks the arms are supposed to be one obj due to low accuracy setting, but 1024 is the highest I can go, more and it will crash.

What is the problem and how to fix it?

Make solid can take a bit of time to learn its intricacies, you will probably have to manually fix some things because it looks like MM is trying to weld some open boundaries together.

and please attach the .mix

Also what's up with your pink background colour... and the photo of your screen. Also turn off the default shader (see the pinned post).

Seems there were non manifold mesh errors or flipped normals regions in the source mesh.

Run Inspector, pull down SmallThresh slider to min and repair all red errors.

Drag the default phong shader onto the textured object to see flipped normal areas (pink stripe pattern).
