importing jpg to meshmixer

i have frontal photo of a patient face, i want to import to meshmixer.  i dont really needed in the 3d formed shaped face

but i needed to compare the frontal view to my work on the 3d model of the patients teeth

any help please

There's no way to load just an image to MM.

 

Instead you can import a textured plane mesh surface to the scene (e.g the attached bundle of obj + mtl + image)

To replace the image of that bundle by an image of your choice, you simply need to replace the ImagePlane.png with a square sized image (1024x1024 pixels) in .png format before importing the obj in MM.

 

As an option for static overlay images you may use a third party application allowing to set a window as a non reactive overlay (something like Overlay2)
